Job Summary

This role involves acting as a Simulation Software Engineer for Airbus Defence and Space, focusing on developing and integrating visualization solutions and data handling within Engineering and Training Simulation systems. Key responsibilities include deriving system requirements from user needs, supporting the design and architecture of new simulator visualization toolchains, and evaluating and integrating visualization solutions, particularly focusing on developing the in-house visual interface using C/C++. The engineer will also be responsible for creating and performing automated and manual tests, building tools to improve development processes (such as CI/CD pipelines and test automation), and integrating developed components into the overall Simulator systems and Image Generator software. The ideal candidate must have a completed degree in Computer Science or a related field, several years of professional experience in software development, and hands-on expertise with object-oriented programming, specifically C/C++. Fluent English is required, and experience with flight simulators or synthetic environments is highly beneficial.

  • Several years of professional experience in IT/information systems
  • Several years of professional experience in software development
  • Hands-on experience with object-oriented programming languages, in particular C/C++ (Must Have)
  • Experience with Development and Maintenance of DevOps/CI/CD solutions (Plus)
  • Experience with simulators, synthetic environments, visual systems (Image Generators) and/or geodata (Plus)
