Job Summary

This role is centered on the installation, configuration, and operation of critical IT systems, primarily within a Linux environment, serving the German Federal Pension Insurance (DRV Bund). The Administrator will be responsible for system monitoring, including error analysis and resolution, and the planning and operation of monitoring and application servers using DevOps methodologies. A key focus is optimizing IT operational processes and implementing security measures. The ideal candidate possesses a degree or vocational training in IT, combined with professional experience in system integration or IT infrastructure, and strong applicable knowledge of Linux and monitoring/logging tools like CheckMK or Grafana. This position offers flexible working (remote work possible) but requires readiness for on-call duty and occasional work outside standard hours, demanding high communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor, Diploma FH) in IT or equivalent qualification, or completed vocational training in IT, or long-term practical experience in the IT sector

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT, preferably in System Integration or IT Infrastructure
  • Applicable knowledge in operating system Linux
  • Experience with monitoring and/or logging tools

  • Readiness to participate in on-call duty (Rufbereitschaft) and work outside regulated hours (e.g., weekends) in urgent cases.
