Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an Embedded Systems Engineer passionate about medical technology to join a leading engineering service provider. The role involves the end-to-end development of active medical devices, focusing on both electronics hardware and embedded software within cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities include analyzing requirements, designing system concepts and architectures, and managing the entire lifecycle of PCB and system designs, from proof-of-concept through to series production. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining existing products, performing error analysis, and creating necessary documentation to support regulatory approval in the highly regulated medical technology environment. Collaboration with software, electromechanics teams, and external partners is crucial, requiring professional experience in hardware/software development and fluency in both German and English.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Medical Technology, Technical Informatics, Mechatronics, or comparable qualification

Experience

  • Professional experience in hardware and software development
  • Professional experience with analog and digital circuits and embedded systems
  • Experience in PCB routing using Altium or Siemens PADS
  • Experience with relevant standards (IEC60601-1; IEC62304) in a regulated medical technology environment
