Join a leading research group contributing to the CMS Experiment at CERN, specifically focusing on the construction and testing of 500 silicon pixel sensor modules over the next three years. As an Electronics Technician, you will play a critical role in the module production pipeline. Daily tasks include performing optical and microscopic input tests on detector components, meticulously gluing modules using a specialized commercial robot arm, and assisting with essential electrical quality control procedures. A core responsibility involves meticulous data management, documenting all work steps and measurement results in a central database. Furthermore, the role requires constructing and assembling new mechanical fixtures and components needed for measurement series, utilizing materials fabricated in the on-site mechanical workshop. The ideal candidate possesses a background in electronics or precision mechanics, strong CAD skills, and expertise in fine wire bonding, along with professional English skills.
