Job Summary

This critical role involves the commissioning of complex, customer-specific automation and IT solutions for control systems, including Command & Control, Power Management Systems, HVAC, and infrastructure supply on offshore HVDC platforms globally. Day-to-day tasks include executing precise commissioning at shipyard partners and on offshore construction sites, optimizing system interfaces, and diligently troubleshooting issues to ensure safe and reliable operation. The Engineer acts as the primary technical contact for the client on site, advising operating personnel and providing consultation for performance changes. Key requirements include a technical degree (ideally in Computer Science or Automation Technology) and several years of relevant experience in automation and programming, coupled with expertise in SIMATIC PCS7. This position offers the opportunity to significantly impact the energy transition by working on the backbone of the future grid, requiring extensive international travel and offshore deployment.

Required Skills

Education

Technical degree (Bachelor or Master), ideally in Computer Science or Automation Technology.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in automation and programming
  • Professional experience in commissioning complex automation and IT solutions
  • Experience acting as an Electrical Specialist (EFK)
