Job Summary

This role is ideal for an experienced engineer passionate about thermal management, focusing on the design and development of coolant circuits for combustion, hybrid, and electric vehicles. The Development Engineer will be responsible for the construction and dimensioning of critical components such as pumps, thermostats, pipes, valves, and heat exchangers. Key daily tasks involve creating new cooling concepts, developing 3D models and technical drawings using CAD systems (like CATIA or Siemens NX), and coordinating extensively with internal departments, including engine development and vehicle packaging. The position requires a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, proven experience in automotive thermal systems design, and strong knowledge of fluid dynamics and thermodynamics. Success in this role demands negotiation-level proficiency in both German and English, offering the stability of a permanent contract and opportunities for professional growth within an expanding engineering service provider.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Technology, Mechatronics, or comparable field

Experience

  • Professional experience in the design of coolant circuits or thermal systems in the automotive environment
  • Experience with common CAD systems (e.g., CATIA V5/V6 or Siemens NX) is desirable
  • Knowledge of automotive development processes (e.g., V-Model, APQP, FMEA) is advantageous
