Job Summary

This role as a Project Engineer specializing in Navigation Systems is based in Kiel, supporting TKMS GmbH, a leading global provider of submarines and naval vessels. The core responsibilities involve the technical performance evaluation and system integration of complex navigation systems for national and international submarine projects. Day-to-day work includes reviewing detailed technical specifications, coordinating interfaces with adjacent technical disciplines, and developing crucial project documentation such as technical offer specifications, test regulations, and project management plans. You will also be instrumental in the planning and monitoring of commissioning and acceptance tests, both in harbor and at sea, and supporting supplier audits. Key qualifications include a technical degree in fields like Electrical Engineering or Information Technology, coupled with professional experience in project work and system design, ideally within a naval or shipyard context. The position requires fluent proficiency in both German and English. A notable benefit is the flexibility for up to 50% remote work, making this an attractive opportunity for experienced systems professionals.

Required Skills

Education

Technical degree in Communications/Information Technology, High-Frequency Technology, or Electrical Engineering; or a comparable qualification. Completed technical vocational training.
