Job Summary

The City of Stuttgart is seeking an IT Specialist or System Administrator to join the IT Infrastructure Client Team within the Office for Digitalization, Organization, and IT (DO.IT). This role is crucial for maintaining city-wide endpoint security for all departments and municipal enterprises. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating, administering, and maintaining technical guidelines for endpoint security products (Anti-Virus, Ransomware protection, disk encryption, application control) and managing central Group Policy Objects (GPOs) related to security (Windows Client Firewall, AppLocker). The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in IT or a relevant IT apprenticeship (Fachinformatiker) with at least three years of professional experience, coupled with advanced knowledge of managed endpoint security products (e.g., Trellix, HP Wolf Security, Microsoft). Success in this position requires strong German communication skills (C1 level) for customer interaction, practical experience implementing security measures according to BSI Basic Protection standards, and a proactive approach to IT forensic analysis and cross-team collaboration.
