Job Summary

This role involves providing technical and strategic leadership for SAP software development within the City of Stuttgart's SAP Competence Center (CCS), focusing on critical systems for finance and human resources. Day-to-day responsibilities include ensuring structured and high-quality implementation through expert version and test management, evaluating and establishing suitable agile methods, and exploring the strategic implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within the SAP development landscape. A major task will be managing the strategic migration of municipal customer developments to the new SAP S/4HANA version, while actively ensuring continuous compliance monitoring. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Computer Science or a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics coupled with several years of relevant professional experience. Success requires long-term experience in software development, a deep understanding of modern technologies, and mastery of the entire software lifecycle (from planning to decommissioning). This is a permanent, future-proof public sector position offering significant influence over the city's digital administration infrastructure.
