This is a compelling opportunity for a dedicated Postdoctoral Researcher to join an interdisciplinary research group focusing on the molecular basis and therapeutic options for ectopic calcifications, particularly retinal calcifications associated with rare diseases like pseudoxanthoma elasticum (PXE) and common conditions like age-related macular degeneration (AMD). The role involves active collaboration on translational research projects, conducting crucial in vivo studies, analyzing complex data, and publishing results in prestigious scientific journals. The ideal candidate holds a doctorate in life sciences, possesses experience with animal models (mice) and is proficient in both German and English. Required Skills

Education

Experience

  • Professional experience in basic and translational research
  • Experience with animal experiments (mice)
  • Experience with histological and imaging techniques is desirable
