Job Summary

This role seeks a highly qualified Life Scientist (Biologist) to join the diagnostic laboratory at the Clinic for Medical Genetics, focusing on human genetic diagnostics. The professional will primarily be responsible for the technical supervision of cytogenetic, molecular cytogenetic, and molecular genetic analyses within routine diagnostics, with an initial focus on evaluating and reporting pre- and postnatal cytogenetics. Key responsibilities include validating laboratory orders, establishing and validating new methods and protocols, and contributing to quality management and proficiency testing within a DAkkS-accredited laboratory setting. The ideal candidate holds a Ph.D. in Biology, Biomedicine, or Life Sciences, possesses strong methodical skills in human genetic lab diagnostics, and demonstrates motivation, team capability, and a meticulous, structured approach to scientific work. This position, initially limited to three years, offers the unique opportunity for further training as a Specialist Human Geneticist and potential habilitation, contributing to cutting-edge research and interdisciplinary collaboration.
