Job Summary

Join a dynamic, international research group at the prestigious Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, focusing on cutting-edge infection biology funded by the BMFTR. This part-time (50%), fixed-term role involves investigating bacteria-bacteria interactions to develop novel therapeutic approaches against multi-resistant pathogens. Day-to-day responsibilities include the preparation, execution, and evaluation of complex experiments, focusing heavily on cultivating both bacterial and eukaryotic cells. You will apply advanced molecular biological techniques, such as PCR, cloning, Western blot, and ELISA, and process clinical bacterial and blood samples. The ideal candidate holds a completed professional qualification (BTA, MTA, or comparable) or a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Life Sciences. You must possess proven experience in handling bacteria and molecular biology methods, be responsible in dealing with Risk Group 2 pathogens, and be highly motivated for experimental work.
