Job Summary

This role is a compelling opportunity for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) at the DKTK partner site in Freiburg, focusing on functional cancer genomics. The core responsibility involves the high-throughput functional characterization and analysis of genetic alterations in cancer, specifically investigating mutational impacts on tumorigenesis, signaling activation, and targeted therapy response at the cellular and molecular level. Day-to-day tasks include designing and executing innovative screens using saturation mutational scanning or CRISPR site-directed mutagenesis, and collaborating on new projects to achieve scientific independence. The ideal candidate possesses a PhD in a life science field, significant published experience in molecular biology or cancer research, and practical expertise in wet lab techniques and high-throughput approaches.
