Job Summary

TÜV SÜD is seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineering Expert to ensure the safety and sustainability of electrical systems and prevent fire hazards in electrical installations. This role involves the independent execution of safety-related inspections on various systems, including electrical installations, emergency power supplies, safety lighting, fire detection, and alarm systems, strictly following building codes. The expert will conduct both pre-commissioning and recurring inspections on fixed electrical equipment and installations. Key requirements include a degree in Electrical Engineering, ideally existing accreditation as a certified expert (Prüfsachverständiger) or VdS expert, or the willingness to undergo rapid training. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of building law and electrical engineering standards, excellent communication skills, and a class B driving license. The position offers significant autonomy and direct customer support within the assigned region, contributing directly to public safety and technological trust.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable field; Ideally recognized certification as a technical expert (Prüfsachverständiger) for safety-related systems or VdS expert, or willingness to achieve certification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in planning, construction, maintenance, or operation of electrical systems (desirable)
  • Experience in conducting inspections on safety-related technical systems (ideal, or willingness to train)
  • Professional experience in applying building law and electrical engineering standards (advantageous)
