Job Summary

This specialist role focuses on operating and maintaining the network infrastructure and delivering comprehensive IT services for the Bavarian State Institute for Agriculture (LfL). Day-to-day responsibilities include managing active and passive network components, firewalls, network segmentation, and the central public WLAN, alongside conducting performance analysis and security checks. You will administer core services like DHCP and DNS, automate routine network tasks, and oversee hardware management, including the setup, maintenance, and decommissioning of PCs, notebooks, and peripherals. A major component of the job involves user support, managing the telephone hotline, handling incoming tickets, resolving technical disturbances, and coordinating support activities within the IT operations team. We require a qualified IT Specialist in System Integration or equivalent, possessing broad and deep knowledge of network management and very good written and spoken German skills. This full-time, permanent position offers an engaging challenge in supporting a complex digitalized work environment across 32 locations.
