Job Summary

This role is ideal for a Junior IT Specialist focused on delivering essential 1st Line IT Support to internal users and external customers. Day-to-day responsibilities involve managing incident tickets, installing and configuring hardware and software, and maintaining accurate IT inventory records. The specialist will actively troubleshoot technical issues, perform daily infrastructure checks, and ensure high system uptime while promoting security best practices according to group policies. Key qualifications include an IT Diploma (Level 4) or one year of relevant experience, coupled with a strong understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11) and fundamental networking concepts (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP). This position is attractive as it offers an unlimited contract, exposure to local and central IT projects, and requires participation in an on-call rotation, providing excellent growth opportunities in IT infrastructure and security.

Required Skills

Education

IT Diploma (Level 4) or equivalent qualification. CompTIA A+ (Preferred). Microsoft Certified: Fundamentals (Preferred).

Experience

  • 1 year in a similar IT support position (alternatively, an IT Diploma)
  • Professional experience with IT inventory and asset management
  • Experience supporting local and central IT projects
