Job Summary

The University of Hamburg seeks a Senior Advisor to play a central role in its digital transformation, specifically focusing on the strategic development and implementation of innovative ICT infrastructure. Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer (CDO) and Chief Information Officer (CIO), you will advise on the technical and structural planning of a new scientific Data Center and drive the strategic conception of ICT infrastructures within the Data Center and High-Performance Computing landscape. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding the integration of the new Data Center, harmonizing internal IT resources, and supporting the development of joint IT operations across Hamburg universities. You will also contribute significantly to the overall IT strategy, ensuring efficient support for scientific research. Key qualifications include a Master’s degree in a relevant field like Computer Science, profound expertise in Data Center setup and operation, and long-term leadership experience in a research-oriented computing center. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree (or equivalent) in relevant fields (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics). Doctorate is desirable.
