Job Summary

This critical role ensures rigorous adherence to environmental, nature protection, and quality standards across offshore operations and associated maritime infrastructure. The engineer acts as the local operational representative (ÖBB) for environmental protection, water protection, waste, and hazardous goods, advising management and driving strategic quality development. Daily responsibilities include monitoring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, coordinating quality assurance systems (including SAP-PM/EHS), creating audit regimes (e.g., OHSAS), and collaborating closely with authorities and internal stakeholders. Key qualifications include a degree in environmental technology or a related engineering field, mandatory certification as an authorized representative for waste, water protection, and hazardous goods, and foundational knowledge of offshore high-voltage systems. This position offers the opportunity to actively contribute to the energy transition by developing sustainable concepts and maintaining operational integrity within a vital sector.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in Environmental Technology or comparable engineering discipline; Qualification as authorized representative for waste, water protection, and hazardous goods

Experience

  • Experience in establishing and operating high-voltage transmission grid systems and offshore facilities
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and certification procedures (e.g., OHSAS)
  • Professional experience in strategic development of environmental, nature, and quality management
