Job Summary

This role is central to driving the energy transition by focusing on the technical planning and execution of medium voltage projects, primarily related to e-mobility infrastructure and transformer substations. The Project Engineer/Electrical Technician manages the entire project lifecycle, from the initial sales handover through technical design, component specification, and final commissioning. Day-to-day tasks involve meticulously designing transformer substations, ensuring all components comply with current grid requirements, and adhering to VDE, DIN, and technical connection standards (TAB). A critical part of the job is coordinating closely with network operators, regulatory authorities, suppliers, and internal teams to guarantee smooth project implementation, timely delivery, and budget adherence. This position requires a professional with a strong background in medium voltage systems who is ready to take ownership of complex technical projects and ensure regulatory compliance in a growing sector.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an Electrician or equivalent qualification. Further qualification as a Master Craftsman or Certified Technician in Electrical Engineering is highly desirable.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in medium voltage, transformer substations, or grid connection projects
  • Professional experience applying norms, guidelines, and technical connection requirements of network operators
  • Practical experience implementing relevant VDE standards (e.g., 0101, 0105, VDE-AR-N 4110)
