Job Summary

This hands-on role in Frankfurt am Main requires a dedicated Data Center Technician to support the operations of a multinational IT company's infrastructure. The core responsibilities involve preparing, staging, setting up, and executing startups and shutdowns of various hardware components, including racks, hard drives, and switches, strictly adhering to specific instructions and standard protocols. A critical aspect of the job is performing post-execution quality checks, ensuring proper grounding, labeling, and cabling according to deployment standards and safety protocols. You will also be responsible for essential diagnostics and troubleshooting, quickly identifying and replacing faulty components, and decommissioning hardware for simple changes like memory upgrades. Candidates must possess at least one year of professional data center experience, proficiency in working with networking devices, servers, and cabling, and flexibility to work non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays. This position offers an initial fixed-term contract with the prospect of permanent employment.
