Job Summary

This role involves specialized network documentation and control, focusing primarily on Fiber-to-the-X (FTTx) projects for a major German distribution network operator. The specialist will serve as the primary contact for FTTx network documentation, managing and steering external Geographic Information System (GIS) service providers. Key daily activities include clarifying inquiries between GIS data capture teams, civil engineers, surveyors, and planning/operations departments concerning FTTx projects. You will be responsible for the technical and commercial verification, quality assurance, and billing of GIS updates, alongside performing necessary data corrections within the GIS system. The ideal candidate possesses a technical background in surveying or geomatics, strong GIS/CAD software skills (preferably including ESRI), and foundational knowledge of cadastral systems. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the future-oriented documentation of Germany's largest distribution network, supporting the energy transition and regional infrastructure development, initially offered as a 4-year fixed-term contract.
