Job Summary

This role seeks a proactive and reliable IT Specialist to join the newly formed Firewall Team, focusing on the operation and security of critical process data technology within the energy sector. The specialist will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of firewall systems, including proactive monitoring, updates, and complex change management processes. Key daily activities involve systematically analyzing and resolving connectivity issues, enforcing security guidelines, and ensuring technical implementation of firewall rules for nationwide cooperation models. A crucial part of the job is establishing and standardizing audit-proof processes and documentation compliant with standards like KRITIS, BSI IT-Grundschutz, and ISO 27001. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) and network fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, VPN), combining technical depth with strong collaboration skills to support operations, planning, and architecture teams.
