Job Summary

This role involves the technical classification of goods within the Combined Nomenclature and the execution of customs tariffs (TARIC), utilizing detailed technical information and drawings. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating precise goods descriptions required for official customs declarations, conducting thorough research, and applying for binding tariff information when necessary. Furthermore, the officer will actively contribute to global classification questions and projects across the CLAAS group. The ideal candidate must possess a successfully completed technical or electrical engineering qualification, or formal training from the German Customs Administration. Success in this position requires strong analytical thinking, a structured and independent working style, excellent PC skills, and very good proficiency in English. The position is based at the Harsewinkel headquarters, supporting global functions.
