Job Summary
This critical individual contributor role involves managing all operational aspects of assigned Oracle Data Center sites, acting as the primary technical liaison between technology teams and the physical environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include proactively monitoring systems, troubleshooting infrastructure issues, conducting detailed audits for power and mechanical capacity, and overseeing rack deliveries and installations. The manager is responsible for ensuring meticulous documentation, upholding 5S standards, and collaborating with internal teams and colocation partners to validate electrical and mechanical system functionality. A key focus is on operational support, including failure mode analysis, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implementing Corrective Actions (CA) to enhance reliability and availability. Candidates must possess 5+ years of Data Center experience and deep knowledge of the entire Data Center ecosystem (cooling, electrical, structured cabling). Required Skills
Education
Preferably educated in a related scientific or engineering discipline.
Experience
- 5+ years of Data Centre experience gained in either IT or Hosting
- 2+ years of Vendor management (e.g., LV vendor quality)
- Professional experience in understanding multi-node IT systems and their architecture
- Professional experience in Data Centre build, live operations management, and change control
