Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated PhD candidate to join an ERC-funded project at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE). The core focus of the role is the development and preclinical evaluation of innovative cell therapy strategies targeting malignant brain tumors, specifically pediatric high-grade gliomas. The successful candidate will utilize cutting-edge methods for the targeted manipulation of brain immune cells, particularly microglia. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing intellectual and experimental support, planning and executing complex experiments, analyzing data, and communicating results through presentations and publications. Key qualifications include a completed scientific degree in fields like Biology or Molecular Medicine, practical experience in cell culture and molecular biology, and excellent English proficiency.
