Job Summary

This role is for a Systems Engineer within the newly formed ZEISS Photonics & Optics strategic business unit, focusing on innovative products for Hunting & Nature Observation. The successful candidate will act as the central technical interface between product management and development teams, responsible for the overall technical concept spanning optics, mechanics, electronics, and software. Key tasks include designing system architectures, defining specifications through modeling and simulation, and ensuring functionality and manufacturability from concept to market launch. The role requires a strong background in physics or engineering, proficiency across multiple technical disciplines (optics, mechanics, electronics, software), and excellent communication skills in both German and English to coordinate with internal, external, and international stakeholders.
