Job Summary

This critical role as a Digital Forensic Analyst involves safeguarding the Carl Zeiss Group by leading comprehensive investigations into information security incidents. The analyst will be responsible for the full lifecycle of forensic analysis, including collecting, preserving, and documenting digital evidence according to strict legal and industry standards. A core function is supporting the Cybersecurity Incident Response Team (CSIRT) with expert insights and performing proactive threat hunting across network and endpoint activities to detect hidden threats. Key qualifications include a degree in Computer Science or a related field, coupled with at least five years of specialized experience in digital forensics or incident response. Success requires proficiency in advanced forensic tools (e.g., FTK Imager, Magnet Axiom) and strong knowledge of EU cybersecurity regulations, such as the NIS2 Directive. This position offers the opportunity to continuously enhance security posture, optimize forensic methodologies, and deliver expert training to internal security stakeholders.
