Job Summary

This permanent, full-time position seeks a State-Certified Food Chemist to take on self-responsible duties within a public testing authority. The core responsibilities involve conducting independent sensory analysis, developing comprehensive test plans, evaluating results, and providing crucial legal assessments related to food samples. A key component of the role is leading laboratory employees focused on plant-based foods and ensuring the implementation of rigorous quality standards according to DIN EN ISO 17025:2018. The successful candidate will also contribute to statewide sample planning, define investigation priorities, and prepare detailed expert reports and legal opinions for courts and superior authorities. Candidates must hold the required State-Certified Food Chemist qualification and possess fundamental knowledge of national and European food law. Experience in officially assessing food samples is highly desirable, along with strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
