Job Summary

This permanent W3 Professorship at the University Hospital Tübingen, part of the University of Excellence, focuses on leading and representing Clinical Epidemiology and Applied Biometrics in research and teaching, starting April 1, 2027. The role requires an internationally recognized scientific profile demonstrated by high-impact publications and successful acquisition of substantial third-party funding. Day-to-day work involves providing expert biometrical consultation across the full spectrum of biomedical research, from basic science to healthcare outcomes research. A critical focus is placed on the statistical planning, supervision, and evaluation of complex population and clinical studies, particularly translational clinical trials utilizing innovative study designs. The Professor is expected to actively shape and participate in major collaborative research initiatives, such as the Center for Digital Health. Furthermore, the position demands extensive, highly evaluated teaching experience and engagement in developing innovative curricula for the Medical Faculty's degree programs.
