Job Summary

This role involves working as an R&D Engineer within the Antibody Development subchapter of Reagent Research & Design at Roche Diagnostics, focusing on developing high-quality novel reagents and diagnostic solutions. The engineer will independently plan, execute, document, and present experiments aimed at optimizing antibody development. Key responsibilities include developing diagnostic antibodies using both classical hybridoma technology and modern B-cell PCR techniques, as well as isolating and cultivating B cells, including single-cell sorting and subsequent antibody screening. A critical component of the job is the execution and continuous improvement of process steps utilizing automated high-throughput systems. Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Biology, Immunology, or a related field, coupled with solid hands-on experience in immunological and cell biology techniques like FACS and ELISA. The position demands an independent, committed, and highly organized approach, strong team orientation, and excellent English communication skills.
