Job Summary

This permanent position as a Design Coordination Specialist, based in Berlin, provides crucial administrative and organizational support for the Joint Data Center’s Server Management department. The role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail, focusing heavily on documentation, coordination, and quality assurance processes. Daily tasks include organizing and documenting team and departmental meetings, tracking agreed-upon actions using tools like Jira, and managing IT-related contracts, licenses, and hardware documentation. The specialist will also coordinate internal procurement matters and support the administrative side of budget planning for the Server Management area. Successful candidates must possess a relevant university degree or equivalent professional qualification, coupled with current professional experience in IT procurement. Expertise in budgetary law, IT contract/license law, and familiarity with tools like Notes databases, Confluence, and Jira are mandatory. The ideal candidate is highly organized, service-oriented, and capable of structured, independent work, contributing to the secure operation of critical IT infrastructure.

Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed university education (Bachelor/Diploma/FH) or equivalent qualification, or vocational training corresponding to the requirements of the higher civil service. Relevant qualifications in Budgetary Law and IT Contract/License Law are required.

Experience

  • Current professional experience in IT procurement
  • Knowledge and experience in Budgetary Law
  • Knowledge and experience in IT Contract and License Law, including relevant qualifications
  • Experience using Notes Databases
  • Experience creating and editing documents in Confluence and Jira environments

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Willingness to undertake occasional business trips (approximately four times per year) between Berlin and Würzburg. Successful security clearance check required according to § 9 SÜG (Security Screening Act).
