Job Summary

This full-time position as a Biological Technical Assistant or Laboratory Technician is based in the Institute of Molecular Medicine and Experimental Immunology (IMMEI) at the University Hospital Bonn, specifically within the Abdullah lab. The successful candidate will primarily support cutting-edge research focused on chronic liver inflammation, anti-viral immune responses, and tissue regeneration. Day-to-day responsibilities include working extensively with transgenic mice (genotyping, husbandry, injections, organ processing), performing flow cytometric profiling of immune populations, and executing standard molecular biology techniques and cell culture. A key aspect of the role involves establishing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining core lab resources, and assisting in the technical training of PhD and Master students. Required qualifications include completed BTA training or equivalent, FELASA B certification for animal work, and professional fluency in both written and spoken English and German, offering a responsible role in a supportive, collegial team environment.
