This Senior Staff Engineer role in Research & Development focuses on driving cutting-edge technology for trapped-ion quantum processors, with a critical emphasis on scaling these systems towards very large chips. The successful candidate will co-develop the next generations of Quantum Processing Units (QPUs) in collaboration with commercial partners and actively engage with the academic community by enabling research projects and supervising master and PhD students. To succeed, you must possess a PhD in physics, quantum engineering, or a related field, coupled with more than five years of professional experience in specialized areas such as semiconductor manufacturing, quantum optics, or trapped-ion quantum computing.
