Job Summary

This role involves working as an Electrical Engineer within the Federal Waterways and Shipping Administration's Office for Inland Traffic Technology (ABVT) in Koblenz, focusing on the operation and maintenance of critical traffic technology systems for inland waterways. Key responsibilities include coordinating planning and execution meetings, managing maintenance, repair, and inspection schedules for complex transmission systems (like fiber optic networks, SDH, MPLS, and radio networks like NIF, AIS, DGNSS). The successful candidate will also handle procurement processes (using UVgO, EVB-IT, VgV), manage spare parts, coordinate fault resolution, and develop resource plans to meet quality targets like system availability. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent FH Diploma) in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Telecommunications or Information Technology, possess strong German and B2-level English skills, and demonstrate experience in network technology and maintenance management.
