Job Summary
This role is a unique opportunity for a Biologist to join a DFG-funded research project at Osnabrück University, focusing on the emergence and self-organization of bacterial metabolism within cross-feeding consortia. The successful candidate will be heavily involved in experimental work, including generating and characterizing bacterial mutants, performing coculture experiments, and analyzing bacterial cluster formation using advanced techniques like laser diffractometry and fluorescence microscopy. Key duties also involve single-cell analysis using microfluidics and flow cytometry, and quantifying metabolic fluxes via mass spectrometry. This position is ideal for a highly motivated individual holding an M.Sc. in Biology or a related field, possessing solid molecular biological and microbiological expertise, and excellent command of English. The role offers collaboration with national and international partners and provides the opportunity to pursue a PhD.
