This role involves contributing to cutting-edge research at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) focused on future low-emission propulsion systems for civil transport aircraft. The specialist will join the Environmental Effects and Sensor Technology department, focusing on the environmental impact, vibrations, and acoustics of electric and hybrid-electric powertrains. Daily tasks include the numerical and experimental investigation of failure patterns in electric drive systems (motor, gearbox, power electronics) tailored to aviation requirements. The professional will also conduct theoretical and experimental scientific research in sensor technology and data processing, acquire and manage projects, and publish findings in scientific journals and conferences. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or University Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or other relevant scientific fields

  • Experience with programming languages such as Python or Matlab/Simulink
