Job Summary

This role is ideal for an experienced engineer specializing in railway control and safety technology who wants to drive strategic infrastructure renewal projects. Day-to-day, you will initiate and manage renewal and maintenance projects across critical railway systems, including signaling (Control and Safety Technology), level crossing technology, radio/communication systems, and general electrical systems. A key responsibility involves developing strategic concepts for renewing interlocking technologies, radio systems, implementing the ETCS train control system, and expanding overhead lines. You will ensure compliance with legal KRITIS requirements (Critical Infrastructure) and coordinate necessary approval procedures with regulatory authorities. The position requires a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, ideally with a focus on Control and Safety Technology, combined with proven professional experience in planning, construction, or maintenance of these complex systems.
