This role involves leading the technical aspects of the DIGIBrück funding project, focusing on modernizing and expanding the existing signal cable infrastructure for traffic light systems within the city. The primary goal is to optimize traffic flow, accelerate public transport (ÖPNV), and enhance efficiency by balancing traffic load across available road space. The Project Lead will be deeply involved in interdisciplinary urban traffic planning and will handle public relations and committee work related to the project. Ideal candidates possess a university degree in fields like Technical Informatics, Electrical Engineering, or Communication Technology, coupled with at least three years of relevant professional experience. Alternatively, candidates with a three-year vocational training, such as an Electrician, and three years of experience in system technology or operations technology are considered. Key requirements include knowledge of traffic light technology, data communication, and strong analytical, coordination, and team skills, ensuring the successful, autonomous execution of this critical infrastructure modernization initiative.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Technical Informatics, Information and System Technology, Communication Technology, or Electrical Engineering; or a completed three-year vocational training, preferably as an Electrician.

Experience

  • Minimum of three years of professional experience in relevant technical fields (e.g., Technical Informatics, Communication Technology, Electrical Engineering)
  • Minimum of three years of professional experience in operations technology, information and system technology, or communication technology (if qualifying via vocational training)
