Job Summary

The City of Wiesbaden is seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineering professional to join its Building Construction Office team on a part-time basis (19.5 hours/week). This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation, modernization, and development of electrical systems across numerous municipal properties, including schools, community centers, and sports facilities. Day-to-day responsibilities involve acting as the client representative, developing and evaluating technical solutions for necessary maintenance and upkeep, particularly concerning safety and fire protection technology. You will manage project control for electrical building services during new construction and renovation projects, provide engineering services (HOAI), and oversee the coordination, supervision, and acceptance of work performed by specialist firms. The ideal candidate holds a degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering and demonstrates strong self-reliance, negotiation skills, and a high degree of organizational ability, contributing directly to making Wiesbaden a more livable city.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (minimum Bachelor/Diplom-FH), preferably in Electrical Engineering, OR State-certified Technician, Master Craftsman, or equivalent advanced training, preferably in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

  • Professional experience in technical solution development and project execution
  • Experience (advantageous) in house installation, object management, security technology, or project management
  • Professional experience related to the tasks listed above is beneficial
