Job Summary

This role as an IT System Administrator in Application Management involves ensuring the reliable and highly available operation of central police information systems for the Saxon Police. Day-to-day responsibilities focus on the full IT lifecycle management of these critical applications. You will coordinate the installation, configuration, and administration of applications and their technical components, including operating and tuning Oracle Database Management Systems, managing backup and recovery processes. A key part of the job is developing and maintaining automation scripts (Shell, PL/SQL, PowerShell), performing necessary updates and patching, and managing licensing. You will also be responsible for incident and problem resolution, ensuring system availability according to SLAs, and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation. This position is attractive as it offers a secure, permanent contract within a vital public service organization, providing essential technical support for the state's digitalization program (Polizei.2020.Sachsen).
