Job Summary

This role involves taking responsibility for the administration, optimization, and conceptual development of Active Directory (AD) infrastructures within the IT department of the Saxon Police Administration. The Administrator will ensure the secure operation of the AD environment, going beyond basic user and group management to handle complex group policies. Key responsibilities include contributing expertise to the operation and development of essential services like ADFS, AD LDS, and DNS, and advancing the Enhanced Security Admin Environment (ESAE) architecture to protect critical infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver, providing 3rd-level support and collaborating closely with internal police clients and external partners. This position requires a background in IT, strong knowledge of AD solutions, and a commitment to documentation and quality standards, offering a meaningful, secure, and permanent role supporting internal security.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in an IT field (e.g., Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology, Telecommunications) or a completed, minimum three-year vocational training in the IT sector.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the operation of Active Directory solutions (AD)
  • Very good knowledge in the operation of complex Active Directory Services (ADFS, AD LDS, DNS)
  • Experience in Performance and Capacity Management, System Management, Monitoring Tools, and IT Service Management
  • Familiarity with security techniques (system hardening, access protection)
