Job Summary

This role is for an innovative and strategic Team Lead / Head of IT Department who will drive digital transformation within the city administration of Herrenberg. The successful candidate will lead a 9-person IT team, overseeing IT administration, infrastructure, support, and Kita-IT, ensuring a secure, stable, and future-proof IT operation. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding the IT department, planning and implementing infrastructure expansions (network, servers), modernizing communication systems, and strategically developing the IT infrastructure with a focus on a cloud-first strategy. The role also involves quality assurance for the IT Service Desk and actively shaping the cybersecurity and data security strategy, including backup and UPS strategies.
