Job Summary

The Landeshauptstadt Stuttgart is seeking a dedicated Data Protection Coordinator to join its Real Estate Office. This part-time (50%) and permanent position involves actively contributing to the development of a modern administration by ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include processing data protection tasks such as maintaining processing directories, conducting data protection impact assessments, managing data breaches, and developing deletion concepts. The role also involves providing legal advice on data protection for IT procedures, assisting in the creation of a Data Protection Management System, and serving as a liaison to the official Data Protection Officer. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant degree, legal knowledge in data protection, and excellent German communication skills, ensuring the office adheres to all relevant data privacy laws.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's/Diploma in Public Management, Digital Administrative Management, Computer Science, Bachelor of Laws, or a degree in Law (Diplom Jurist/-in), or successfully passed examination as an Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt/-in - former Angestelltenlehrgang II), or a comparable university degree qualifying for the tasks.

Experience

  • Professional experience in data protection tasks (e.g., processing directories, data protection impact assessments, data breaches, deletion concepts, consent declarations)
  • Experience in advising on data protection law and involvement in the development, tendering, and application of IT procedures, including contract processing according to Art. 28 GDPR
  • Experience in creating and implementing a data protection management system
  • Experience in processing inquiries on data protection-relevant topics and providing advice, training, and instruction to employees
  • Experience in processing data subject access requests and responding to data protection authorities
