Job Summary
This role involves leading, organizing, and developing the food safety and quality department in Mannheim, ensuring all products comply with national and EU regulations, customer expectations, and Bunge Group policies. Key responsibilities include implementing and maintaining management systems like HACCP, EFISC-GTP, FSSC 22000, VLOG, Food Defense/Fraud, Halal, and Kosher. The manager will oversee production methods, conduct risk management, and ensure quality and safety from raw materials to finished products. This position requires a strong focus on continuous improvement through customer feedback analysis, internal/external audits, and implementing corrective actions. The ideal candidate will also lead and develop a high-performing team, provide training, manage data and reporting, and collaborate closely with internal departments, suppliers, customers, and external control bodies.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree in Food Sciences, Food Technology, Nutritional Sciences, Chemistry, or comparable qualification; Qualification as Quality Management Representative; Qualification as 2nd Party Auditor
Experience
- At least 5 years of professional experience in quality and food safety management within the food, animal feed, or pharmaceutical industry
- Experience in employee leadership
- Experience in budget administration
