Job Summary

The Center for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research Baden-Württemberg (ZSW) is seeking a Head of Electrochemical Fundamentals for its Electrochemical Energy Technologies division in Ulm. This leadership role involves overseeing the 'Electrochemical Fundamentals' department, managing resources, controlling budgets, and ensuring the achievement of departmental and project goals. The successful candidate will act as a key interface with industry, academia, and funding partners, actively shaping ZSW's innovation process by scouting new research areas and coordinating technology transfer to SMEs and industry. The position requires a PhD in a relevant scientific field, expertise in areas like fuel cells, electrochemistry, electrolysis, or aqueous batteries, and proven experience in acquiring and managing industrial collaborations and publicly funded projects, along with leadership experience.
